What flavor of psychic are you?

Sheryl and I had not written a new ad in a long time, then we came up with this one last night:

Better Than a Psychic Reading

We combine spiritual counseling and energy healing with psychic insights to bring clients to their highest level of well-being in all aspects of life.

Some psychics claim to see into your “future” with a high degree of accuracy. We believe in free will, therefore the decisions that you make will affect your future. We use our psychic skills to see your best possibilities and potentials.

Some psychics claim to be able to give you all the answers, to tell you what to do so you don’t need to make any decisions for yourself. We think that creates an unhealthy dependency. We want you to grow and feel healthy in mind, body and spirit, secure in yourself, not dependent on us!

Some people choose to see a psychic for a lark, get their palm or tea leaves read on some Sunday afternoon to see what the psychic lady will say about what they will be when they grow up, who they will marry, and what they should do about x, y, or z. That's all fine and it's all in fun but it's not what we do.

We ask what you want to do, what you want to receive, where you want to go with this precious life we are given to lead. What do you want? Why? And how can we help you take action that will be in alignment with your highest hopes and dreams? We help you heal what’s in the way if you’re not on track, help you work with belief systems and childhood conditioning, and learn to work with your life in a healthier frame.

We're not a member of any organized religious institution. We've studied many religious traditions and are very eclectic in how we approach our work.

That said, you should know that we we start every session in a prayerful meditative state. We ask for the guidance to come from the highest place possible and be of the highest benefit of all concerned. We trust that our clients will receive exactly what they need for their deepest well-being at the current time and in session after session we see that they do.

A single session with us can give your life a boost in the right direction. With regular sessions we can take you step by step along your path, teaching you tools to help yourself, and providing a supportive nurturing space to explore your life, grow and change.

So, even though this is what we've done since the beginning, self defining and self describing can be a difficult thing. Sheryl and I were both brought up to believe that self promotion is "bragging" and that it's wrong. Sheryl had even more blocks having to do with shyness and childhood difficulties with jealous school mates who picked on her for being different and for her intellect. But we've since discovered that if you don't promote yourself, nobody else will.
