When I was a kid we called these mosquito eaters. In Scotland they call them "daddy long legs" which is what we call those long legged spiders here in the states-- you know, the ones which are quite gentle about anything except preying on flies and such.

Red Rose

I put this one up for mother's day. It's one of the prettier roses I have seen. Hard to find a rose bush around here where the roses aren't a bit crispy. Ok so maybe it's more pink than red. I still like it.

Progression

Sheryl and I are going through some growing pains . Not too bad. We take a lot of solace in nature. But Sheryl is getting better flower photos than me lately, dang it. I'm not as motivated about the flower photos right now, and I get to take credit for teaching her about photography. She's got a gorgeous shot of an iris over here.
